Darien, New Canaan & Rowayton Weekly Real Estate Report

School has started in both Darien and New Canaan and life is slowly getting back to normal. By normal, I mean busy! I don’t take too well to quiet time. Luckily the real estate market is complying and the new fall listings are starting to come on.

Darien had 6 new listings and an equal number of price reductions. There were 2 accepted offers and 7 properties closed.  It’s interesting to note that all but one of those closings had an original and a reduced list price.

New Canaan saw 7 new listings and 6 price reductions. 3 homes went pending and 4 properties closed. Those homes closed between a disappointing 76% to a more encouraging 98% of the original list price.
