A native resident of CT, I grew up in a household with a very talented mom who is a fine artist. Art, design, color and drawing provided me with a very creative childhood.

As a young girl, I scoured House Beautiful magazines, painted furniture and was always redecorating or rearranging my room, as I still do today. A connection with a local interior  designer led to a little job in her design studio. Absorbing all that I could, I knew interior design was in my future.

While attending college as an Economics & Marketing major, I simultaneously took a variety of courses in interior design at the local art school. I learned the daily ropes while working for several interior designers and an architectural firm. This hands-on experience proved to be invaluable.

Eighteen years ago, while raising my two sons, an opportunity presented itself to join a local kitchen design firm. In 2003, I established my own kitchen design studio, then called New Canaan Kitchens.

With the conveniences of digital and mobile tools, a stagnant showroom has become a thing of the past. This has allowed me to take on projects over a much broader area. I’ve recently completed projects out west, throughout New England and in the south. My completed projects provide a working showroom for prospective new clients. I continually seek opportunities to work in a non-traditional fashion while providing personal service that’s become my trademark.

To keep my work unique and fresh, I inspire myself through travel. It provides me with a diversity of architectural styles, interesting landscapes and color, unique people, their stories and learning about their diverse cultures. I apply all this to my work.
