Professional Bio

My name is Rachel Walsh, and I have been serving the New Canaan, Darien and Fairfield County marketplace for 20 years. My passion is helping people find the perfect place to call home. I enjoy helping my clients through every stage of the real estate process – before, during and after a move. My clients can expect unparalleled dedication, integrity, honesty and outstanding personalized service, and a laser focus on the details.

My passion fueled my success and led to Diamond Level Superstar status, the highest level achievable through the Sotheby’s network of agents. In addition, I was the New Canaan Office’s 2013 Number One Agent for Dollar Volume and the 2013 Number Three Top Company-Wide Producer for Dollar Volume.

I have the privilege of sharing my expertise as a contributing writer on and having been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal. I take pride in my achievements; however, at the end of the day, the real success is in the trust and relationships I have built with my clients.

Community Involvement

Community is important to me, and I am actively involved in several community organizations. I am a member of The Darien Board of Realtors, The New Canaan MLS, The Greenwich MLS, The Consolidated Multiple Listing Service, The Luxury Division, The New Homes and Land Division, The New Construction Group and multiple relocation groups and networks. I am also Eco-Broker Certified and have a special interest in healthy, chemical-free, eco-friendly organic living and new construction.

Volunteer Activities

Throughout the years, I have participated in numerous volunteer activities through my club, church, Darien Elementary School, New Canaan Beautification League, The New Canaan Library, The Silvermine Arts Guild, The New Canaan Historical Association, multiple pet rescue organizations and The New Canaan Youth Center. I am also involved in fundraising for The Alzheimer’s Association, The American Cancer Society and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

About Me

I graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in English and went on to study Hotel and Hospitality Management at New York University. I have three grown children who attended school in both Darien and New Canaan, Connecticut. My husband and I live in New Canaan with two large Labrador Retrievers who rule our house. In my spare time, I am an avid reader. I love the simple joys of spending time with my husband, children and friends, trail walking and Reformer Pilates.

“My philosophy about being a real estate professional is simple – my clients come first. I know that I am representing people with one of the largest and most important purchases or sales that they will ever make. I work seven days a week to ensure that all will receive the highest level of personalized and committed service. I make sure that my valued clients have a complete understanding of the market and the overall process of buying or selling a home. I don’t push or convince because it is vitally important to me that my clients are happy in the end.

I am up-to-date on all available technology, social media and online marketing opportunities and I constantly seek out new technology.

I like to guide, inform and educate. I give constant updates, and make sure that my clients will always know what the next step will be. I constantly use out-of-the box creative thinking to help both buyers and sellers, and am flexible to accommodate new situations. My clients are particularly happy with my real estate knowledge that only comes after years of seeing it all, and my ability to negotiate, which is more of an art than a science.”
